Just for info, I have inscribed myself & Candy for this event, to be held at Magny-Cours this year (last year it was at Le Mans). Also for info, RSSOC is now on the list of clubs recognised by these organisers, so if the day ever dawns when we get 10 or more Reliants together(that'll be the day!!) we can have a reserved section! In the meantime get polishing, lads! :D - or should I say Messieurs?

The Swiss can do it - at Morges in 2012 I lost count but there were more than ten.
I think our best score is seven so far (we have had more cars but not all Scimitars  )
Well done for the club recognition !
Magny-Cours is a lot nearer than Le Mans, but it is still a lot of kilometres from us ...

In competition I drive very fast, but not always on the track ...

We are booked to be there as well, abit in the MGB, subject to 14 days isolation in our garden before the event and another 14 days isolation after we get back to the UK!!!!!
However this may change if Boris and Emanuel bang their heads together and come up with another cunning plan.

PS local friends advise bars now open :)

Ah yes, bars and restaurants have at last reopened, and France will welcome Europeans (and possibly British) without quarantine as from 15 june.

At the moment we have the ridiculous situation that we can go to Italy, which is open, but may not be able to get back into France

We will have the same issue - go on holiday for a week and spent 14 days in quarantine when we return..

I will inscribe my Scimitar, my wife's parents are living in Nevers so I have no excuse not to participate. My only interrogation is, should I go for the track sessions or not, I haven't decide yet.

Zeb, I think all the track sessions are booked up. I shall just go and park for the day, and maybe take part in the parade.

Hi Oldconn and Zeb

Yes despite uncertainty of Covid track times appear to have sold out some time ago

I think Classic Tour places may still be available and Classic parking is good value at 35 Euros for driver and passenger plus the grande parade lap or just 29 euros if you are a member of a club

Keeping my fingers crossed

Last went to Nevers and Magny Cours for the F1 grand prix at the newly created circuit in '92 iirc, Prost was on pole, but Mansell won 8)

We were last there in 2015 on the wettest weekend of the year. That's where I first met John. We had a great weekend (four of us) and I found Magny to be a great spectator circuit, with superb grandstands and plenty of refreshment facilities & bars- plus easy access to the pitlane & garages to get really up close to the machinery & star drivers.

The Covid 19 situation over here is getting worse again, some medics are saying a "second wave" is imminent. If it doesn't improve I probably won't be going to Magny Cours.
