Blistered boot lid
The paintwork on my 1985 red SS1 is generally very good but the previous owner had the boot lid re sprayed and it has blistered. The blisters vary in size with a max of half a smartie size. The blisters are filled with sticky resin. I guess something has drawn this out of the fibreglass. Has anyone come across this before, I would like to know what mistake the previous sprayer made and what I can do to rectify it. Thanks, Nik

Re: Blistered boot lid
Sounds like solvent pop, caused by insufficient flash time between coats. You need to expose the surface and clean it off with solvent. Then give it plenty of time to thoroughly dry out, before refinishing with epoxy primer.
