philhoward wrote:You may not have noticed, but there has been as addition to your profile settings (User Control Panel > Profile tab) which allows you to add your RSSOC membership number and your real name. These are not visible to anyone apart from Administrators of the forum, bit if you can spend 1 minute updating these, it will be to your advantage :D

When the new website comes online (shortly), you will be able to access the members section by means of your forum login IF you are a member, instead of using the login provided in Slice. As the new website and the forum gains more information, features and articles, then these will be instantly available for you as part of your RSSOC membership experience. This won't happen immediately, but will be a gradual move with the most useful snippets of information instantly accessible to RSSOC members.

Your RSSOC membership will be recognised on the forum with a tag of "RSSOC Member".

To those who have already added their number to their signature, can I ask that you complete the new fields as well as these are what will be picked up to enable your membership of the new group of "RSSOC Member".

Many Thanks,

Phil
Done. I bet you are fed up with these "done" replies?

Not a problem, Victor - and as you can see, your status is upgraded!

Apologies to those who have updated their details and not been "upgraded" yet. It's still a slightly labout intensive process and with tonights batch we should be back in line. If you have updated, and you don't appear as an RSSOC Member (and hence can't access other parts of the site like the Wiki) then please feel free to let me know (via email is best - click the envelope icon underneath my details on the left).

Ps, not very PC literate, some of my messages seem to disappear, are the edited out, or is there no synchronisation between phone written messages and laptop message (i guess this will be moved to where i cant find it)
