Does anyone one know please what the differences are between the front suspension vertical links on the SE5, SE6A & SE6B?

The axle is not part of the link; it is a separate component.

Stuart there are at least Four different types of Vert links.

They take different sized stub axles for a start, which is what CR was pointing out.
So therefore the tapered hole is different.
Some also have a different size of inner bearing/grease seal shoulder.

They will all have the same lower trunnion machined surface for LH and RH, and the top hole will accept all standard top ball joint.

The are mostly ALL machined from the same casting so don`t go on the casting numbers.

I don’t think any of the changes to the vertical link coincide with model changeover points.

It’s the outer bearing that changed size Mark, are you sure the tapered hole changed size?

Not near my emporium at present but as I reman stub axles I know they are different.
Will take some pics tomorrow to demonstrate. :drum:

Dennis Nicholas has talked extensively on the inner bearing and grease seal shoulders. :w

Yes, the inner grease seal is different on later uprights (discussed long before Dennis removed his :D ) but I don’t recall discussing any other differences on here?

The Taper on the stubs have different diameters.
There are THREE different sizes of stubs to take different bearings.
