Coupe/GTE Front shock fitted length

Post by Oaksey » Sat Jun 15, 2019 3:07 pm

Does anyone know what the fitted length of the front shocks is for geometry setup purposes?

Cheers

Possibly oddly I think the details of a “length of box section steel with 2 holes” is in the SE6 manual? Pretty sure Roger Pennington has posted the details in the past?

I had a look in the 5 and 6 books and couldn’t find any reference?

I had a look too but couldn't find it. I may have to make an educated guess for initial setup then once the new shocks finally arrive, put it on the ground and measure it up

Thanks

It does say add 150 lb to both front seats before checking alignment IIRC.

I noted that bit from one but sort of ignored it as its the straight six I'm doing and there were no official measurements so I'm going to have a bit of a play around and see what works best

Thanks

Yes, it's in the Se6/6a Manual, and it looks like this:

That is for an SE6 fully loaded simulation? How often does one drive with those conditions. I set my spring seats with one passenger at lower wishbones parallel to ground so eye to eye slightly smaller than the 13.64 inch of the setting bar above. (i.e. only part loaded)
