Acquired a se5 today with this boot lock - not something I've come across before.

Unusual boot lock

Post by roymck » Tue Feb 26, 2019 8:50 pm

The boot lock is Triumph 2000 . Mk1 Triumph had a Flap to cover the lock hole . The Mk2 had no flap . The no flap style replaced the early type and is or was the only type available as a replacement so quite often you would see a Mk1 Triumph 2000 with a no flap lock. Also the flap falls off so you see early locks looking like new locks .
