How to bypass the starter inhibitor

SE6a (auto of course). Need to do a bit of wiring fettling but have to be able to move her, wouldn’t start immediately thought of the inhibitor plug probably been knocked off yup but then get to do a nice r3wiring job I need to start her to move her but none of the very few posts tell me exactly how to do that Anyone care to enlighten me. Obviously have the parts and workshop manuals to pore over. Tia

1998 Range Rover 4.6 v8 auto
2006 fiat Punto 1.2
2016 Nissan QashQai 1.6 tekna CVT dci

I can look it up tomorrow if nobody else chips in, but you can just reach the plug on the gearbox from underneath. Have a look to see if it is loose perhaps?

The quick option is to turn on the ignition and flash 12V onto the solenoid terminal. That is all that would be interrupted by the inhibit switch. If the engine turns over but doesn't start, it's a red herring.

Thanks guys after multiple tries I’ve managed to shimmy down alongside the car(and just who said I’m fat!) despite protestations there was no way I’d get down there and 2 attempts at crimping on new connections I rsorted to crappy old Scotchloks for now and managed at least to get her to turn over. RESULTtomorrow I aim to fit the AccuSpark dizzie coil plugs and leads and see f I can get the old girl to run
