Will MGB wheels fit my SE5A ? (see specs below)

Not sure for the offset

Thanks

MGB wheels on SE5A ?

no, the ET is way off (needs to be around zero) - I think the MGBGT V8 wheels are a closer fit.

Possibly - with spacers. Ask him to measure the offset?

Does the seller have any idea of the rim width also? Unless I've missed it, it doesn't seem to say in the ad?

They’re 185 tyres and look fairly wide against the wheel - so they will only be 6” max I reckon?

MGB wheels on SE5A ?

See John Brown wheels website, look like the ones that are 5.5 and et35...£90 each.
They are modern wheels so the info should be stamped on the back.
...but they are 4 x 130?

They look like their generic minilight - available in various colours and sizes

MGB wheels on SE5A ?

Post by sined » Mon Nov 12, 2018 9:51 am

I thought Stag would be 114.3
You're right, if they're not 7 width, then the offset can't be 0
Might not be the right ones this time again :-(

Stag is 114.3 - I don't know what JP was referring to?

At a cursory glance I thought they looked like their AC8 wheel...but you will be correct because their imitation minilite can be had in the correct pcd and the silver/ black colours.

The special alloy wheel fitted to the very last MGB Cars was also fitted to the Triumph stag so that might give you some idea of offset . You can’t stick TR6 steel wheels on a MGB the offset is all wrong as well , but TR6 onto Scimitar fits ok .
