Mann & Hummel own a huge number of companies that make oil filters (Wix, Purulator, Bosch, etc). Apparently Purulator manufacture the motorcraft branded oil filters to Fords spec.

I have ORIGINAL RELIANT filters in stock.
Still boxed and unopened, but they are Crossland.
They are a bit longer than EFL90, will get some out and post on here later.

Very early V6 listing is 205540,
These are 209785, and are superseded by 91858.

Without slitting one open I can see the One way valve inside at the end, AND the rubber anti siphon diaphragm at the base.

On the PAS Essex, And 2.8 Cologne I use the shorter EFL90 because space is restricted, but on my 5a I use these Reliant supplied ones.

I have STILL had Cologne engines to regrind after the crank shells have spun out, on BOTH of my Own GTC`s, and Two others while using the EFL90, so nothing is infallible. :w
And I used to get my oil in 20l Motorcraft containers from Ford

Mark.gtcse8....sorry my ignorance but what you mean by "spun out"

For all
By the way am currently using 0/40 Mobil 1 fully synthetic (and of course AFMT :w ). After 3,889 miles since oil change a top up of about 1.8 lit was needed = 4.628ml per 100 miles. Engine at 100,500 miles. pressure at 50 on gauge at over 1,500 rpm and hot dropping to 10 -20 at tickover. Fram PH2857A filter.

Dennis (ps. As the late Alan Dean used to say "20/50 is good for clapped out lawn mowers") Dacia inspired advert mowing lawn?????

Spun out/spin out/Destroyed.
The 2.8 journals are renown to be not really being "Big Enough" for prolonged high speed running after ages of unknown use/abuse and destroy themselves without notice.

Shell bearings are only held in place by a clamping action of the Two shells, not as is wrongly thought, the "Tabs" on the one side of the shells.
These "Tabs" are only there to align the shells with oil gallery holes.
And in certain circumstances they will "Pick" up on the crank and "spin"

Some say it happens when the outer coating wears through and the substrate galls onto the crank, but I have stripped engines that have the bearing face looking new but the shells have "Spun" in the housings,

:w
