Dunlops - tyre size and wheel nuts

Post by ScimiTom » Thu Aug 13, 2015 9:31 pm

I have three questions regarding Dunlop composite wheels:

1. Will 185/80/14 Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres fit?
2. If so, what is the correct speed rating (I think it may be H)?
3. Where might I get hold of Dunlop centre caps and wheel nuts?

Let me know if you can help with any of the above. I don't want to spend £500 on the wrong tyres!

Thanks
Tom

1. IIRC that is the original size.
2. H is standard
3. Some nice shiny ones from Bill Brighton?

I will have to wear shades the next time I see BOF!! :D

1. Yes
2. H
3. Possibly Moss or the like (centres) and Bill Brighton (nuts). Don't forget there are 2 sizes of nut depending on the size of the holes in the wheel.

Excellent. Thanks, guys.

Will - you'll see Boffin at the Pre '67 Ford day on 30th August, if you're able to make it. With a bit of luck, she'll be donning her 'home-made' Dunlops! 8)

So, did you persist with polishing the Dunlops you had, or did you find a better set Tom?

Phil, does Bill not produce the centres for the Dunlops too, I got some SS Wolfrace centres from him?

Tom, barring accidents I will be at the Pre 67 Ford show in the 5a so will catch up then - will bring my shades!!
