Can’t fathom date of manufacture of my 6afrom the burton list... v5states chassis/ vin as 9a61/18404705 with an sc engine number which iirc is/ was a scimitar designation.. any clues on date of car from the vine,eas registered 14/3/79 TIA

Chassis numbers goes, 9 would be 1979, A is the Month, 61 is Aztec Blue, 184 is Auto with Power steering, 04705 Chassis number. Hope this helps.

Well all is correct save for colour she’s ‘yellow’ not blue and no signs of her ever being blue nothing in shut lines, inner panels nada nowtand ive had her 20 years!

Paint code list must have a mistake then, unless your's had a complete respray 21 years ago :lol:

I think it is wrong Terry ,61 is Aztec yellow, one of mine is, and i'v had it 30 years
