Tachometer issue...

Post by Oxymoron » Mon Oct 29, 2018 1:49 pm

Hi
My tachometer has started to stop working on an intermittent basis!
It may not be working at the start of a journey and then start working or vice versa!
What's the likely cause?

Cheers
Jez

I've checked the earth and that seems ok.The bulb that illuminates the rev counter won't work if the earth is disconnected, but works ok when reconnected.
Which wire from the coil do I need to look at?

How are your volts? I've had a tacho apparently stop working when very low on volts.
