Polybushes transmitting axle noise!?

There is a mention of a quiet spot IE on and off the throttle. Sounds like a noisy diff to me

Mind you take the rest seats and sound insulation out of a RWD modern and they are pretty noisy ,
Try the same modern with the door cards removed if you want noise

'A' post repair ? how structural ?

If you do cut it all out then I wouldn’t send the car to paint until the repairs had rested and settled.
Sinkage will be a problem

Scimitar Axle Rebuild and LSD Upgrade

Last time I stripped a 4HA the CWP assembly came out without spreading the case
Setting the crown wheel to the pinion is not a task to be taken lightly

AVO rear shock fitting

A coupe of mm wont hurt plus you have rubber or plastic eye bushes

Or grind a notch in the metalwork that’s in the way without compromising strength

Oaksey's New Car

I have had 205 on a Coupe in the dimensions mentioned. The rears fitted just but I recall the offset of my chosen wheels was not quite right,so the clearance was not too good.
However with a wise choice of offset I think it will be ok

AVO rear shock fitting

I have had an experience with AVO lower spring seats being very close , if not touching the axle in the past . As mentioned, if the collar is raised as required then you don’t have a problem. Otherwise a couple of washers to act as a spacer but be sure the securing but fully engages. If this is not ...
