I just checked out picture 15 and 16 - myself and Trevor - and the attitude of the cars are pretty similar.

Feel a bit better now

Absolutely mad at myself for not being better on the day.......

Suppose it happens though - just frustrated....

All in all though - we had a good day - and the sun shone on the event for us.

Well done to everyone

Hi Raz

no - been fiddling with settings a bit - however I am clearer now as to what I need to do - and have learnt a lot in the last couple of weeks or so.

Cheers

bl**dy hell Paul - you are good. That picture was taken on my second practice - and indeed I went VERY VERY deep into Triangle and read a book whilst waiting for the front to bite. During lunch I took 2 inches out of the ride height and that corner was nice - time improved - but I was slower than la...

front roll is still there Steve? Hi Jim no time since the discussions - but the picture there is in practice and is invaluable. That was in practice - and during lunch I lowered the car by 2 inches. Handling and times improved - but nothing like last year - so I am kicking myself very hard. Anyway ...

Hi Steve, Have you lowered the roll centre @ the rear axle, can't remember?? What's the ride height? I believe you're running AVO's, what clicks? Maybe the differential of front/rear springs is too high, preferably increase the rear or decrease the front, and yes increase the ARB, SE6 with rose joi...

I might even do a breadvan - the chassis are much more rigid just look at the last one  have you considered fitting a rear adjustable roll bar at the same time? I appreciate you don't want to stiffen the rear but it would give you maximum front/rear adjustment either way? maybe that was beca...

You should have driven it 4 years ago when the chassis was cracked - it steered from the rear under braking  One thing at a time - will play with the roll bar - even if the advantages are minor - and then look at some other bracing perhaps. I might even do a breadvan - the chassis are much mo...

Steve, I'm certainly no expert in handling but I've been following this with interest from an engineering perspective. Correct me if I'm wrong but stiffening the front, increasing front tyre pressures or increasing the front roll bar diameter/effect will INCREASE understeer? You originally said tha...

Nick and I are always very close - sometimes I beat him - often Nick beats me. My existing engine has a custom cam profile - so concentrates on torque rather than high rpm bhp. Thats where the advantage lies - but I still know there is more front end grip to come - so Sunday will see the welder comi...

you have not taken into account the appathy of the masses.

Just look at Curborough - only 10% of the membership attend.

Keep it simple - the subject has migrated away from a best of carpark award at Curborough

Duely voted How about the gate keepers identifying nice looking cars at their discretion and directing them towards a seperate area - maybe/maybe not - the driver need not know they will be marked and possibly awarded a prize. Could be the best 25 or 50 cars through the gate before 1pm on the Sunday...
