Urgent help please !

Why not disconnect the dash lights for now as I don’t think they are part of the MOT

The cause of your problem might be the dimmer

engine sounds like a machine gun

Low oil = lack of oil supply to hydraulic lifters = noise ..... or the cam is dry

You need to fix the leak

How big of an engine can I fit in a se6, big block?

Ask yourself, no disrespect but do you have the skill set and facilities to make this work.

With planning and money anything is possible but always consider the end result, which in this case , is likely to be a classic car that will be very difficult to sell

Coupe boot jammed

Jeff's pictures show a hole with the boot lock removed. However this is something you cant do. Option 1 - make a large hole in the boot floor and release the lever per my picture Boot lock 1.jpg OR Option 2 - drill a hole per the blue car and poke the lever but you end up applying paint Boot lock 2....

With the button pressed in try banging on the lid you might get lucky
Otherwise it’s time to drill a hole

cylinder lay out

Firing order is cast into the question inlet manifold .
Standing at the front of the car number 1 is by the alternator and number 4 is on the opposite side , so 123 on your left and 456 on your right as viewed from the front of the car

Tail Lights.

They can be found but are VERY expensive due to their connections to other cars
If you find a source you could make a pocket full of cash
