SE6 side window fitting

I've never fitted a rubber sealed window before and I've been struggling with it all afternoon
Is there an approved method of doing this?

Rear hatch drain

I just bought a reel of 10mm pipe. I have a suitable flaring tool also.
Fits perfectly. I could do these for people if anyone wants

Rear hatch drain

I need to replace the ones for my side rear windows. Presumably the are the same?
What were those plastic versions? they look a bit like wall plugs......

On the other hand I am fairly tempted to just block the hole up. Do the side window ones really do anything?

SE6 Fuel Smell

Umm well a large drip from the fuel gauge sender could easily be the cause of my smell - I just noticed a puddle under the back! Tightened all the screws quite a bit so that should help I also replaced the rubber seal in the cap - quite easy in the end: I cut my own out of some thick rubber sheet I ...

Se6b or 6a drivers door mirror wanted

Yes the view works really well. It was something of a revelation to me to discover that the LH and RH ones are a) not mirror images of eachother and b) therefore LHD and RHD mirror pairs are not the same. This I think cannot be said for the Ford derived Items - which is i suspect exactly why the LH ...

SE6 Fuel Smell

Thanks for those.
The tank is stainless so no rot. The Filler pipe is tight (now although it was loose last year).
The drive it's parked on is indeed slightly uphill
So I suppose the cap is the only thing left. Is it possible to change the rubber without drilling out the assembly rivets/ burr-overs?

Se6b or 6a drivers door mirror wanted

Hello Geraint, here are a couple. As you can see they fit well. I do still need to wire them up though
Also I need to repaint the door anyway, as well as the mirror covers but in the mean time purple is not too bad actually!

SE6 Fuel Smell

I keep on getting whiffs of fuel smell (outside the car) when parked and quite full. Inside it's fine What's the likelihood of this being the cap? The seal is not good but I would not have thought it was so bad you could smell it. Fuel hoses were all replaced fairly recently but I wonder if there is...

Se6b or 6a drivers door mirror wanted

FYI I've recently fitted Fiat 500 electric mirrors as I got fed up with the inability to see out of the passenger side in particular Designed to be painted body colour or available with a chrome finish if you want. I used a 5mm thick piece of rubber sheet as a spacer due to the shape of the base but...

SE6a Aux Lamp and Fog Lamp fuses?

I see from the Peter Freeman wiring diagram that these fuses are not part of the main fuse box. Can someone tell me where they are please?

Car Covers

I been into fibreglass kit cars for years and never seen blistering until meeting scimitars. very strange. I suppose these cars are older and have perhaps been more exposed to the elements though............

SE6 P.S Pulley adaptor

Sorry Roger it's just that King Herald's pics look a bit odd, plus Ive forgotten what the bits look like when separate. So I see you've used the smaller pulley. I was on that to start with but found the need-to-rev problem even worse so moved onto the larger one

SE6 P.S Pulley adaptor

Yep that's what ive got.
I'd still prefer not to do any revving at all. I suppose it depends on idle speed and perhaps my pump pulley could be different, maybe? Anyway that's why the electric pump seems a possibly good idea, but need info on hydruaulic unions - plus whether I can be bothered!

SE6 P.S Pulley adaptor

Shouldnt do but I do.- although when I say rev I only mean a little bit above idle. There appears to be no real PAS at idle speed. Could be the pulley ratio is wrong but I have no way of increasing it. BTW my pulley does not look like that. The secondary pulley fixes on the the basic engine one with...

SE6 P.S Pulley adaptor

I've also done the PAS conversion and got hold of a suiltable pulley but I'm not very happy with it as there is a chunk out of it for some reason (perhaps it was in an accident) and I worry about balance. So I'm also interested in a replacement. However I'm also interested in replacing the pump with...
