Does anyone know anything about se5a TIL2921

Does anyone know anything about a yellow Automatic SE5a automatic reg TIL2921. Its a 1970 car & its mot history tells little. Its currently for sale and seller has owned it for a year but it now has a few issues. Main one being it wont run and spits through carb. The back bumper has been cut in half...

Garage advice possibly concrete prefab

In regard to the base on this occasion I am reusing the old garage base so no need for any extra work in that direction. It would have been great to start with a blank sheet of paper and get the ideal garage built but I have got to make the best of the situation. My wife wanted to go and look at the...

Garage advice possibly concrete prefab

Superb. Many thanks for all the replies. The concrete prefab garages we have been looking at locally are made by lidget Compton so hearing some real world experience is fantastic. Its looking like the lidget prefab concrete garage could be ok with a little extra sealing & certainly fits in with the ...

Garage advice possibly concrete prefab

Sounded like good advice to me? Never seen a concrete garage that didn’t have problems with condensation - even if it’s well insulated. I had a metal galvanised 3m x 2m garden shed and that suffered from condensation too. If the condensation is a certainty I wont be spending any of my money putting...

Garage advice possibly concrete prefab

Dimensions of the current garage are 20foot long by 9 foot 9 inches wide. Its a single garage but a better size than some. A good few years ago we managed to restore my first Scimitar in the garage. Could have done with more room but managed. Nearest we can get to in a prefab is 9 foot 6 wide by 20 ...

Garage advice possibly concrete prefab

Late last year we ended up with the garage and workshop/shed flooded with 3 foot of contaminated water. The garage and shed are both wood framed buildings that have fibre reinforced concrete/asbestos sheets as the building shin/roof. Both the shed and the garage have been deemed damaged beyond repai...

Shame it didn't appear after the xmas period when money wont be so tight.

would see if you can have a go in a 6 series car before you take the plunge, it's very much a different animal. From my research I think the SE6 is going to fit my needs better than a SE5 now. Its a good few years since the Scimitar & my needs from a car have changed a great deal. I loved the way t...

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Hi Paul, welcome to the forum! :D Automatics are relatively more common in the Se6-on range, and the first of the se6-on range are now starting to come into the tax exempt bracket, so your time may have come. Good luck with your search :D Roger that is exactly w...

Hello from North West Lancashire

I have lived near Morecambe since 1967 so yep it has changed quite a bit. The last time I saw Tony Wall I called at their shop on Marlbourough Road and as I walked in the shop he walked out of the shop to look at the kit car I had just arrived in. I had only gone for a 2 stroke mixing jug but ended ...

Hello from North West Lancashire

Hello everyone. My name is Paul & live on the North West coast of Lancashire. I used to be a member of the RSSOC but let my membership lapse when the scimitars went. When/if I get another scimitar I will be rejoining the club. My hobbies and interests are building models (rc trucks/trailers, sci-fi ...
