SE6a USM 99T

The previous owner of my SE6 had added cunifer/copper fuel pipes running along the chassis. I had already replaced the rubber braided pipes he used in the engine bay as they were ageing really badly. I thought I had replaced all the rubber pipes that needed changing till I decided to look at the ele...

Fuel hose

We just had to change a piece of fabric covered fuel hose fitted at a guess when the car was made. Not fitted to the scimitar but still from the early 1990's. Pipe looked ok and there was no visible drips/wetness but it stank. After removing the pipe and replacing it the pipe was cut along its lengt...

Morning commute fight!

Sorry to see and read about that. I got assaulted by a taxi driver a few years back for something I didn't do. He thought I was a fellow taxi driver. Police dealt with him quite quickly as I have dashcams in all our cars (both front and rear). The dash cams have paid for themselves many times over. ...

38DGAS carb inlet pinning

The original carb fitted to my car when I bought it was supposed to be a replacement fitted by the previous owner due to the fuel inlet pipe dropping out. It was one of the later carbs with the fuel return which while it wouldn't pull out it would go round (it didn't really leak badly was more just ...

SE5A Transmission fluid leak.

Hi Tim on mine which is a ford c3 transmission it was a fairly easy. The seal on mine had a metal lip which I managed to get a chisel under with a little help from a small hammer then used a pry bar and it came out. Getting the new one in however required a metal tube that sat on the metal part of t...

38Dgas fuel return

My original carb had a return where the carb I have now doesn't. I'm not in the position to modify my current carb & as the return line is already fitted to the car may as well use it. You can buy a t piece that has the return line restrictor already fitted. That's what I am going to use on my car w...

SE6 Propshaft UJ

With my circlip pliers deciding they wanted a break & I cant get them replaced (under warranty) till next week I decided to go with the safer option of ordering the UJ from Nigel at QRG so I have a better chance of getting the correct part the first time. At least the rusty propshaft can be cleaned ...

Tiny choke circlip

The clip was missing on the carb I got given to replace my stolen carb. Ended up getting a clip out of my radio control car spares/pit box. They are the same size as used on a team losi car I used to race so had more than a few spare parts in the box. According to the clip packet the clip I used on ...

SE6 Propshaft UJ

To try and eliminate one of the issues with my GTE the propshaft has been removed today so the rear gearbox oil seal can be changed to try & eliminate that as one of the automatic gearboxes oil leaks. I suspect the rear seal and the seal where the kickdown lever is plus a small leak from the vac mod...

Slice 287

Mine landed this morning.
Had a quick read earlier. Fingers crossed will have a better look tomorrow.

Many thanks to all that are involved with the production & best of luck to the new editor.

I really must put something on paper for inclusion at some point.

where to locate fuel pressure regulator

Mines on the bulkhead.
Previous owner thought it wasn't needed.

I didn't agree with this. Seen too many issues over the years caused by people not using a inertia switch

where to locate fuel pressure regulator

I am in the process of locating the filter king in a better place in my engine bay. The previous owner had already fitted electric fuel pump which is mounted on the under engine cross member without any insulation/mounting bobbins so is loud and annoying. I see no reason why the fuel pump cant stay ...
