Hi avanti, are you trying to service the cylinders or have you bought a new cylinder that doesn't fit.

Newcomer

Hi and welcome, I'd consider myself to be quite new on this forum but I can tell you that everyone I've had contact with as been friendly and helpful. Are you planning on a full body off restoration? If you are I'm not that far in front of you. All the best Dave.

Polybushes transmitting axle noise!?

I see that you are comparing polly to rubber. If the old metalastic bushes are still available could someone please point me in the right direction. Cheers Dave

SE5a Body Off Resto

Hi Harry, when I started I planned on 3to 4 years but I've already added on another 2. I built a timber frame in my garage and then got 5 friends round and lifted it off, well on the second atempt (forgot to disconect the gear linkage). P9100001.JPG 1 year later not much further on. AVO rear shock fitting

But if I was to fit a spacer to move the bottom of the shocker away from the axle bracket my thinking is that it wouldn't line up properly to the top mount on the chassis?

AVO rear shock fitting

Hi everyone, just received my Christmas present....2 new rear AVO shocks from GW. When ordering them I asked the question about the bottom eye having and offset like the Spaxs that were fitted. They said they didn't but assured me that they would fit. As the axle is off the car waiting to be rebuilt...

Upper wishbone bushes

The car had poly bushes before I started to strip it down. After cleaning up the upper mounts I tried on the wishbones with the old poly bushes still in and they felt tight and firm. But I decided to go back to rubber. When fitting the rubber bushes on the fulcrum spindles they are tight, but when i...

Upper wishbone bushes

Hi everyone, just fitted some new upper wishbone bushes (rubber from GW) but I'm concerned about the amount of movement that the individual wishbones have. When I bolt the top ball joint between them the movement becomes less apparent. Could anyone let me know if this is OK. Cheers Dave.

Trunnion Repair Kit

Hi ScimmyMike, I agree with you but it feels like the diameterof the brim of the top hat is too big. I dont want to slplit the "O" ring . Ps have you noticed on your diagram that on the righthand side of the whishbone the "O"ring is after the top hat.

Trunnion Repair Kit

Hi everyone, I know people must get fed-up with trunnion questions, but I just want to get it right. Whilst doing a mock build of thr Graham Walker trunnion repair kit I am finding it hard to get the top hat bush to sit flat to the cupped washer when the "O" ring is in place. Or is it me and should ...
