small sports chassis weight

Interesting stuff! Glad to let you have done the digging out as I didn't fancy it.

Trust me to find the thickest part to cut through with the mid joint

QRG sill section SS1

A body shop would likely sort that damage out no problem. Few hours of spot welding tabs and pulling would see it back to where it should be. Fair amount of work to replace a sill or just outer section and you need to be confident of the welding. Cut off far more badly done sills than I care to ment...

MK2 Sabre Breaking for parts

Anyone want the headlight mechanism?
Obviously it's grilled and rusty but all there ripe for restoration.

Otherwise off to scrap it goes.

Car is entirely stripped now. Favourable prices to get stuff gone otherwise it all goes on eBay / gets tucked away until requested.

small sports chassis weight

The thing I had only recently discovered is that the metal work within the header rail is actually one piece of box section slipped inside another, not sure if that is the whole way across as I was in a hurry to just get it all cut up. I think part of the reason for the whole surround being quite he...

I have a screen in a scuttle, and the remnants of a scuttle just chopped up if you are desperate for the measurement?

alternative coupe register

As a former model registrar I would simply say that it is unreasonable to expect one person to push all aspects of the role. It would take a very dedicated person with plentiful time to do so. I offered what I could and failed to achieve many things that I had hoped but enjoyed my time and feel I ad...

Brecon Gold SS1 panels

Try Paul Turnbull, he had a Breacon gold SS1 project stripped. Rear end was rough but front night yield some good panels?

As you already suggest Steve, it's likely your seat rails that transmitted the force to move the centre section. Was your method of reversal just pressing the plates up, or pushing the main rail out? By comparison this is what my seat rails did on VTO when it crashed at curbs. You can see the upward...

71 GTE SE5A my rolling restoration and now Tdi conversion

What engine code is it out of interest? I've a few things left from my Octavia days. Think that was an AGR code engine with separate non VNT turbo.

SABRE SIX FOR SALE

Think Josh has been to see it and to my understanding it's not just a straight reassembly job (is it ever?) With various issues to correct and things to fettle. Still, it seems beggars can't be choosers when it comes to acquiring a Sabre these days! What's the black market price for a kidney these d...

Yes send me a PM (private message) and I'll come back to you. New V6 (Essex) ALLOY cam timing gear sets

Good point and duly noted. Shall investigate and see if I can look to stock and offer those also. The GTE's are a slight step out of my usual territory really, it's only through a sort of wandering progression that I have ended up taking these on board. Hopefully though it serves as the first step i...
