Re: Scottish Scimitar Owners, your RSSOC needs you!!!

No sign of the Callander classic show happening this year. Last 2 times I was there the rain was torrential all day. Not fun. Perhaps the Scottish weather ended up killing it off. The Pre-67 Ford show at Bridge of Allan is usually good. Glamis is still a great show - especially if lucky with the wea...

Tayside Classic Motor Show

This show is this Sunday (13th June) at Errol airfield, between Dundee and Perth. A pretty good show - been getting better every year, with a good selection of interesting classics. Probably not a big Scimitar contingent. A long-standing member of the Tayside Classic Car club will probably have his ...

(continued from previous - maximum 3 attachments allowed per post) Finally, the next image shows the gear carefully moved down to allow it to be rotated 180 degrees, so the bridge will then be on the opposite side. wiper2.JPG Once done, put it all back together. At last, my coupe's wipers now park c...

Re: Wiper Motor Repair Guide

Many thanks for the info Steve. I went out tonight and altered the position of the bridge on the drive gear, as you described. For anyone needing to do the same, here's some pictures. Firstly, the wiper body with the drive gear removed showing the spring-loaded park switch that gets depressed by the...

SST or Sabre in Dundee

Dark blue SST or Sabre on Pitkerro Road in Dundee, in the pouring rain, at about 5.00pm today. Not a common sight in this neck of the woods. Only got a fleeting look from a distance - hence the uncertainty over the model - but it looked very nice.

Re: pound signs

Hi Steve

You are not alone. This has been happening in my Ebay email notifications. Not all, however, and not in the most recent ones I've received. The pound signs display correctly in IE.

Sounds like an issue with Ebay's notifications, as opposed to a problem on your machine.

Regards
Peter

Re: Wiper Motor Repair Guide

Hi Joe While you had the motor in bits, did you happen to see anything that would determine the parking position of the wipers? I'm sure I read somewhere that there's some tab or lug somewhere that should be reversed if the opposite parking position is required. I've had a quick look at my motor, bu...

I was out washing my old 5a ten or so years ago when a youngish neighbour (early 20's) with suspect taste and zero tact started asking about it.

Neighbour - "So, does it cost much to buy one of these?"
Me - "Not too much. You'd be surprised."
Neighbour - "Is that because it's a bit ugly?"

No joke!

That was quite a distance to go! I know the guy that had it before it went to the Carnoustie dealer, and he did say it was a nice one. I have a photo taken earlier this year, and it looks good - nice paint and the shiny Dunlop wheels looked in great condition. He had it on Ebay a few months ago, but...
