Nice One Roger, must be about the amount left in that can! Phil H got it right, my fingers tryped up it wrong.
The gearwheel was also gently persuaded loose by tappting gently on the end of the shaft, the scraper spread the leverage easier.

Denis 4 photos below showing separation of the nylon gear wheel from the "cog" wheel. I used a sharp paint scraper to gently separate the components and working equally around all perimeter, after lots of soaking in GT50. When the nylon gear is away from the 2 square locating points, rotate the gear...

Denis 75710H is the topmost ref nr on cover plate of the 14W motor I have repurposed for use on my GTC, as per my earlier photo. It also has arrow pointing to the Right, ie right hand offside park position. As I said in earlier post, it's fairly easy to reposition gear wheel by 180 degrees to functi...

Roger The Rialto one had been fitted with new brushes and was less than half price of a well used 16W motor, plus I had a spare 14W brush set left over from a previous car. Dennis forgot to say if go down 14W route the gear wheel needs removing and refixing 180 deg around, to change from Right park ...

Hi Dennis 14W brush plate different from 16W brush plate, not interchangeable. I gave up refettling my 16W motor on GTC. Very recently replaced with 14W motor from a Rialto(?). Just needed to extend wiring loom by 100mm at the 5 way connector box as the connecting plug on 14W is on windscreen face b...

GTC inner wing/engine compartment separator

Hi Geraint, by "lip on lower section of bumper" do you mean in your photo the greyish metal sheet angling backwards from top face of bumper part closing gap towards the radiator ? If so, never been evidence of one on my GTC. the old and rusted out original stoneguard mesh in the main intake was only...

GTC inner wing/engine compartment separator

I had removed all splashguards when changing exhaust from standard to tubular a few years ago. This summer, to improve side view, I did what Dennis had planned, by trimming the rear splashguards to clear tubular downpipes on GTC, and refixed ok with peel rivets. However found the under bonnet temper...
