The Kunifer stays there now,if nylon is easier Imight usethat onthe next one.........
I have done my project in Kunifer, so I'm not knocking it, just saying that there is no need to worry about the factory fit nylon.

Fuel pipe fittings?

Nothing wrong with nylon. Just be careful not to kink it and it will be as good as Kunifer.

Manny's 81 GTC

Not too difficult to make a set up for it out of bits. It works out much cheaper too. The lower hose is the difficult one, I think I made that from a 45 degree and either a ninety degree or another 45, I can't really remember. I will have to work it out as I have a Middlebridge that needs doing now.

Auto box change.

I agree that the 6 series go well with the auto box. If you want it even nicer, look for one that has an A4LD properly done, or do one yourself. It makes a really nice power plant.

As Jim says, look down the spout, you will soon see if the choke has disengaged.

That's why you use Epoxy primer. Not much will hang onto fibreglass or aluminium. The old way used to be etch primer, but that is acidic and tends to react with some topcoats. Epoxy primer is inert and very tough, you will need a dangly grinder to remove it from clean fibreglass.

Jotun epoxy primer is now the modern method. You can use Lechler but I believe the Jotun is more suited to underside, brushing use, rather than spraying bodywork. You can tint it or overcoat it with colour / paint of your choice.

Unbelievable that they would even consider giving you the car back in that state. We always give the cars a really good clean before the customer gets it back, if only to show off the new paintwork to its best.

If you do galvanise, the only paint that will hang on to it properly is epoxy primer. If you allow it to weather, POR-15 is quite good, but is UV sensitive and so requires a topcoat.

Only XJS mirrors are the right profile to suit. Switch can come from a Ford Granada Mk3 onwards, plus other Fords of a similar age or a Citroen of around 2000. The switch is fitted below the radio in an SE6A. Weatherstrips in stock here: http://ajlelectronics.co.uk/epages/832315.sf/en_GB/?ObjectID=6...
