Goodwood 11 May 2019 - Photos

Times really flown by and we’ve been pretty busy since this event. It was great to see you both Kev O & Roger, great pictures as usual! This event was a real mixed bag for me... This is the first event I have attended that’s taken advantage of the rule change meaning only one practice run is require...

Abingdon 8 June 2019

A damp start, but soon dried out. My first time here, great format - like doing two events in 1 day!

My time was 104.76 seconds.

Not sure I’ll have faired well in CM, but I’m pleased with 32nd/108 and 4th/11 in the over 2litre modified class 8)

Race Chrono

I bought this earlier in the season an tried it at goodwood but wasn’t that convinced with the gps tracking. 6B36B8FE-32A6-459A-A4BD-84C689433497.png It looks like I need to work on my lines around most of the track. Do you get better results than this? It may be due to the Stealth styling of my car...

Brake pads - the old chestnut

Another 1144 vote here. That’s whats in my GW setup, zero fade or smoke even at goodwood. Also ran them in the S2000. Cold feel is there (important on a hill climb car) but with good heat resistance. I have however had them over heat - but only when the outter pad starts running against the bell or ...

Harewood 2 June 2019

Also worth noting that it’s horses for courses; a car that goes well at one venue won’t neccesarily at the next. I’d put money on my old S2000 going around Goodwood or combe as quick as my SS1, but I’d absolutly destroy it’s times at Curborough, Gurston etc This isn’t clearly evident in SSSC as so f...

Yea, S2000 go the wrong way. It’s not a massive issue in a GTE once the seats are turned around, they already have a nice big rear window with a wiper.

SS1 1600Ti Sprint Car

With Goodwood next i’m determined to break the 100second barrier; Goodwoods a fast circuit and the although the turbo addressed the lack of power, it’s lower down the Rev range. Jim King kindly answered my plea for a 3.62 diff with bolt on ‘lobro’ shafts, which was also kindly delivered to me by Gav...

After the rolling road we sorted the new tyres, this involved cutting and shutting two front wings together for clearance. 6B081095-BFDC-4833-8917-9479D85A65D4.jpeg The car performed well at Gurston Down, with a couple of minor issues that needed addressing; somthing had moved in the front suspensio...

From the CM rules; 56E88994-B853-42AC-90BC-7B89B56CF630.jpeg Obviously the SSSC are also slightly different, but this was the deciding factor that made me stick with 1Cs - If I’ve understood it correctly, as my cars not presented in a road legal state (MSA log booked, but ‘too awesome’ to pass an MO...

Gutted that you had running issues Steve O. Does the ECU have a good earth? If its anything like the Omex in mine, the ECU switches the earths, so the switch side of everything is grounded via the ECU. We actually reckon that the kumho's are just as quick as the slicks based on a few runs Saturday. ...
