Yes that does look good. I see you've still had to mod the bulkhead though, which I wanted to avoid really.
How much power and what is that gearbox?

I thought the Subaru engines were EJ20 or EJ25 etc?

Yes raising the block would raise the gearbox. Would require a test fit to find out more. Unfortunately I am not in a position to do that though

WRX engine Max width 802cm
Essex V6 incl Exhaust manifolds 750cm but there is spare room in there I think above the chassis. Main problem likely to be steering shaft

In interesting idea crossed my mind
Subaru Impreza WRX STi engine, but not 4WD - so Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT86 RWD gearbox
325BHP out of the box, combined with very short length that could fit easily where that Ford v6 was?

Hmmmm

To be honest 1 deg from full left to full right is so small that it can be considered a rounding, measurement or tolerance error. It's effectively zero. As to why that appears to be case and considering that Reliant bought Triumph suspension and that that design goes back to the 40s, I doubt that th...

I just did a more accurate full lock Steering turntable test on my SE6 PAS rack, and the results are as follows Left Wheel Max Left 32 degrees Max Right 29 degrees Right Wheel Max Left 31 degrees Max Right 30 degrees So aside from the fact that it seems that my rack is not quite centred, it also loo...

I wondered how to measure Ackerman and found this https://www.longacreracing.com/articles/text/Ackerman.pdf Typically, Ackerman is measured by turning the right front 10 degrees to the left. If you have Ackerman, the left front will travel further than the right front. A typical amount would be thre...

Great idea. And I now wonder whether that is what is wrong with my existing pass mirror - ie that it was never OK
I just thought it was just faulty!

I just received a pair of Fiat 500 (the new one!) door mirrors for about £60 brand new. Looking very promising. Minimal to zero intrusion into the door skin (unlike Mini ones) and I have a choice of mounting them higher up with a bit of a wedge underneath needed, rather like the originals, or lower ...

This video gives a rather good overview of bump steer between 9:50 and 11:20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh535De4hKg So it's not the position of the steering ball joints being in line that matters it's whether the track rods are the correct length and joints (and therefore the rack itself) are a...

I watched that WheelerDealers episode. (BTW that link only provides a preview rather than the whole thing but you can find it easily enough) Unfortunately though as usual they skimmed over the detail - such as the evidently loose steering shaft. I'm pretty sure that the explanaion of what causes bum...

Can anyone confirm how the squashy dash 'crash pad' is fixed to the top of the dash top moulding? It appears to be glued on?
