Quarterlight swap

So having swapped the windy mech over from donor door Ive found out why the window was very stiff, the front channel that appears to be part of the Quarterlight has distorted through rot, how difficult/DIY will it be to swap from donor door

WINDY WINDOWS

Ok solved it, didn't notice, as it was missing from donor door as well, the small rubber section that slots into the top of the quarterlight channel was missing and it grabs the top of the glass and so far it stay up, The other donor door had one, not in very good nick but appears to work.

The biggest problem i...

So lost the plot with leccy windows, anyway all real classic sports cars should have windy's picked up two complete doors with working windy mech's from a very nice gent today, tells me his SS1 expert (wonder who that is Phil) says transplant is doable, so anybody out there done it and any advice or...

engine oil

Thanks, had a good chat with classic oils man at NEC thinking of using their 20/50 for GTE instead of Millars as its cheaper and probably just as good, 20/50 bit thick for hydrolic tappets so as she doesn't use oil or smoke will probably stick with 10/40
