ScimFest @ Curborough 2020

Likewise Ian, time booked off from work for me, and by then Sarah will be a fully paid up member of the "I don't have to go to work any more" Club......jealous... me..... of course :D
The only decision to make is do I (read Sarah) drive the 5a there this year?

SE5 or early SE5a front hubs

Evening,
One of our Noggin members needs a pair of the above. If anyone has a pair laying around not being used, then please call Dave Kelly on 07858 993555 to discuss beer tokens and postage etc....
Many thanks

Essex starter motor connections.

Yep, I think the spade connection goes to the coil to get battery voltage whilst cranking although I haven’t checked the car or wiring diagram :D

Silverstone Classic 31-Jul - 2-Aug 2020

Hi Alex, If you've looked at last year's pictures you'll see our blue Sabre Six and I have to say that it qualifies as a well-used" example, nowhere near as clean as some (actually all) of the others on the Stand. Looks OK from a distance though! Ah yeah but.... there ain’t too many race prepped Sa...

Hi All. Sorry I'm a bit late to the thread! Yep, I can probably collect as I'm 35 mins from Goodwood if that's where you are "Bikeshop" and deliver to Guy B at some point in Bracknell. I've got a Passat estate so it should in theory fit in the back with the back seats down. Can somebody provide me w...

It’s always great to get new cars on show to the public and other members alike! Thanks again for getting the car to the event as I know how much w...

Hi All,
I've had a copper fuel line for many years and as yet, not had any problems. After doing a search on the T'internet, I've found the attached document from BP which may be of use?

Evening Philip,
The answer is.....YES! The club will be having a stand at the 2020 Silverstone Classic as I was talking with Mike Simpson at the Committee meeting on Saturday and we briefly discussed the subject. Keep em peeled for more details! :D

Stunning Coupe

In the words of a certain Lager advert.... "Probably, one of the best V6 coupe's out there". Having known the car (and judged it many times in the RSSOC Concours!) for many years this is a fab car that is just crying out to be bought by someone looking for a sorted, high quality coupe. Sad to see yo...

I thought GW/QRG had the “pedestal” seals in stock?
Yes, I'm pretty sure I saw Nigel had a few on his stand at Scimfest/Curbs.....
FWIW, I bought mine and fitted the Pedestal (Door frame to top of door under the quarterlight) seal from QRG back in 2007.

1/4 light seals

Hi Mark/Guy, I've had my replacement 1/4 light seals in the home office drawer for nearly 2 years now as I bought a set when the Club first had them in stock. Not replaced them as I was trying to source a replacement passenger side quarter light window with an intact top swivel "eye" as my original ...

New V6 (Essex) ALLOY cam timing gear sets

Hi Phil, Glad to see the new batch have arrived! As a footnote to installation, it may be prudent to have a spare sump gasket to hand as the front timing cover sits on the front section of the sump pan and when you remove the front timing cover it may (most likely!) destroy the sump gasket :( Cheers...
