DOT 4 replaced DOT 3 and has a higher boiling point. DOT 5.1 replaced DOT 4 and is again, backward compatible. And the manual versions had the very desirable 5 speed 2wd LT77 gearbox, and later, the R380 box.

Back on subject though, it would be interesting to see if the fuel tank would fit - and whether the sender position matters?

I would imagine the Cologne sensor is the same as the Essex (it’s the same gauge and voltage regulator). I replaced the sensor on 8 ball recently, it started reading lower and lower until it just failed totally.
