Check the relays up behind the glove box they control everything you have mentioned. The ignition relay provides power to fuses that feed the electric windows, electric door mirrors, heater motors, front and rear wipers, so if they’ve all failed, suspect that relay. Was the lower bit of the steering column removed to replace the rack? If not, it should be okay and it’s just been refitted to the rack 90 deg out - as your mechanic says, the steering wheel can be removed and aligned after the tracking is set. The alignment you’re thinking of is the universal joint...

Fuses can seem fine but not conduct - remove, clean (fuses and fuse box clips) and check for continuity as well as seeing if the end caps are tight. Check for power at the wiper and lights using the battery neutral. If that’s okay, suspect the earths.

That was the bare chassis I have in the workshop (although the Sabre isn’t actually bare and I forgot that the remains of batmobile are outside).

for info chassis number < 200 :-)
120mm on a non galv chassis, a galv (CVH mounts only) chassis, a galv Ti chassis and a galv mk1.5 Sabre chassis.

Well I can confirm that number one has two bolts :shock:

Also explains why body tubs have 3 holes :lol:

That’s the second car - it says on the AM page that it was white with red triangles? Sounds like it may have had a few different coats :D Originally ”painted in the same dark blue and gold ‘Sotheby’ colours. The car toured the country to promote the brand but ‘Sotheby’ Cigarettes failed to take off ...
