Insurance again!

Could have got even cheaper insurance but most companies now seem to have a problem with me not having the cars garaged - even though they are off the road in front of our house. Nowadays you can save yourself a few quid by declaring your car is kept on the road and not on the drive (certainly the ...

Corky's Scimitars (..and now an SS1 race car build)

I think 3” will be a good target. With the box section I’m using, 3” should be achievable, give or take a few 8ths and 16ths.

Corky's Scimitars (..and now an SS1 race car build)

Back to the rails. I wouldn't drop them all the way, just down to the "box" of the tunnel. I realise those north of 6ft might feel the need to go all the way down to lower sill level, but I found that too low for me (shy of 6ft) when used with a proper side mount shell seat. I've always used C sect...

Doesn’t it say “seats can be changed for trimmed competition seats” or words to that effect. I’ll have to have a look at the wording later.

It was your Sabre that gave me the idea Craig. They looked like the perfect solution. They fit, and allow for the fuller figured driver.....

The steel has arrived along with a spangly new intercooler and pipework (more of that in a future post). At the moment I need to concentrate on seats, as they will dictate where I weld in the new cross members. I was going to use the MR2 seats I'd bought, but have decided that they're too heavy (lig...

SS1 "Axle" from Hoole to Sheffield or Reading

I came close to putting a bid in for those parts myself (bargain of the week). Glad they're going to a deserving home rather than a shelf in my garage.

If I upload photos to Imgur and then link them, the orientation is correct. If I upload directly to here from my iPhone, then it all goes a bit antipodean on other devices such as Windows PC, iMac and Android. However, they always display correctly on the iPhone and iPad.

Ben's SS1 - SSF novice sprint car

I’ve got a spare indicator Ben. I can’t remember if they’re handed, but I’ve got both sides available. Which side do you need?

I can drop one in the post on Monday.

Looking forward to seeing how you get on with it Ben.

I was very glad that I found a buyer that can actually fit into it, those seats aren't very generous :w ............which is why the car was sold with 'em still in it
