Doh......

Been a bit too busy with work to organise anything.

If it’s a possibility for you to bring it up Jim, that would be great. Cheers.

Happy to provide compensation in the form of folding stuff.

Corky's Scimitars (..and now an SS1 race car build)

Rear wheel arch brackets to make and fix (I'd like to push out the arches by about 5mm, which is doable with a bracket) Pull dash board apart and remove the remnants of an alarm system that is flattening the battery in 48hrs...

Great work fellas.

I’m thinking of doing Aintree anyway. So if I’m still permitted to do that under the RSSOC banner, then I won’t need to join LMC.

Just catching up with this thread.... It looks like about three or four people have missed out. That's a real shame! Though I'm taken aback by how many Scims are coming out this year, as last year we had a hard core of only five or six drivers. It'd be interesting to know if the move to CM has spark...

I’m going to try and do Saturday, but I have to wait to send my entry until the summer holiday has been booked.

You need a tight arse when you see the bloody valley to the left of the track. :w

Don’t watch the YouTube videos of the crashes before you go. It slows you down..... well that’s my excuse anyway...

When I bought an RX8 box, I found the most suitable set of gears was in the five speed box. The bonus is they’re cheaper too, and apparently just as strong despite what you may read elsewhere. My thread is tucked away on here somewhere. Edit it’s here http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/viewtopic.php...

It’s not an event I can get too excited about TBH. Thirty odd seconds on track x4 and it’s all over. Not to mention their unique approach to practice runs

Having said that, I think it’s one everyone should do for the experience. But there are better venues offering more track time.

Secondary throttle return spring fitted.

I can't find anywhere in the regs where it says you have to have one. But I sort of remember reading it in there in the distant past. However, it's a good safety feature, so I've fitted one.
