Corky's Scimitars (..and now an SS1 race car build)

Yes, we had that conversation. The red SS1 has all the right ingredients, it just needs a bit of fettling and it'll be a competitive RG car. It's scruffy on the outside, but underneath is where it counts. It has an LSD, GW brakes, Spax adjustibles, triangulated wish bones, boost control, shift light...

Slight of hand, Steve. Slight of hand.

"I haven't strictly bought it, so it doesn't count."

"Now I've sold it, I can get its replacement."

It's a fairly well known RG Class car, and will be sold on as such once I've been over it.

It's gone to its new owner this morning. We met half way at Warwick services.

I brought this px back with me, which will be sold on soon.

Would you consider this in your Scimitar?

I would definitely go for electric power in a new car if the range was sufficient. As for putting it in a classic, no thanks. I really cannot see the point. Unless to the factory built E-type mentioned earlier

ss1 vented discs - mg metro calipers

did the sabre have differet hubs? No they're the same hubs across the SS range. I understand that years ago there was some confusion of the spec' of a new Sabre (that never happened), and parts books were updated accordingly. The hang over from this is that many parts books now quote the wrong brak...
