Wakey wakey

When I bought an RX8 box, I found the most suitable set of gears was in the five speed box. The bonus is they’re cheaper too, and apparently just as strong despite what you may read elsewhere. My thread is tucked away on here somewhere. Edit it’s here http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/viewtopic.php...

Shelsley Walsh 15/16 September 2018

It’s not an event I can get too excited about TBH. Thirty odd seconds on track x4 and it’s all over. Not to mention their unique approach to practice runs

Having said that, I think it’s one everyone should do for the experience. But there are better venues offering more track time.

Corky's Scimitars (..and now an SS1 race car build)

Secondary throttle return spring fitted.

I can't find anywhere in the regs where it says you have to have one. But I sort of remember reading it in there in the distant past. However, it's a good safety feature, so I've fitted one.

Brake fail switch

By older I mean original equipment. About seven or eight years ago replacement MCs were virtually unobtainable, so with the help of a parts supplier and a bit of experimentation to get the fitment right, I developed a replacement. These have the brass switch that Jim referred to. There are other dif...

Brake fail switch

The brass ones don’t fit the older MCs. Different thread I’m afraid. I did find a replacement switch a few years ago. As I said it my earlier post it was either MGB or LDV/Sherpa. In my limited experience I found that there is more than one type of original MC. So there may not be one switch to cove...
