Novice "normally" = never won a class prize at an event (but differing organising clubs have different rules  )

An article featuring team photos of us both holding the trophy appeared in the local paper. Oh and I also chatted to Sir Alex Ferg...

Must have been lucky with my shifter as I'm sure it was a direct fit but can't remember now where it came from  Shockproof heavy is heavier oil than Reliant spec. Craig Hughes advised us to use it based on his sprinting experience. Really not sure how much difference it makes but you are reall...

The drain plugs are normally magnetic I think. Yes search for S12 Silvia short shifter. Normally around £35. They only fit the mk2 box though. If you you look in my Sabre thread (link in my signature thingy below) you should find some info. Search "Corky Scimitars" thread too as he has also fitted t...

On Craig's advice we have always used Red Line Shockproof heavy oil in the gearboxes of our Sprint cars.

If you have a MK 2 box get hold of a short shifter which are readily available on EBay. Makes the gear change much quicker for competition use.

Harnesses, seats and HANS devices in roadgoing

I think I'm right in saying HANS not mandatory, original or replacement seat ok but must upholstered. Original seat belts acceptable but most fit 75mm 4 point harness which doesnt need to be in date for speed events
