I plan to do both days. Any recommendations for accommodation?
We stayed at the Fox & Hounds Willingham last year. Room OK and pub with food next door.

Driving test reality check

Simple. Don't resist what you are being told and listen to your instructor, do that and you will pass your test. Whether you continue to drive to "test standard" is up to you. In response to your two examples. Feeding the wheel between your hands at the quarter to three position is the safest way o...

Driving test reality check

I suspect most UK drivers who passed their test years ago would struggle to pass the test today because we have developed "bad habits" which are difficult to unlearn. The 2 things you mention above are prime examples. Neither are necessary when you are an experienced driver BUT you will fail the mod...

Swoakes SS1 DET Sprint Car misfire

Update. Car went to the rolling road today and NO misfire :) Must have been that plug  On the downside looking at the curves it looks like the oil leak from the rear crank seal has contaminated the clutch. So it will be engine out after Harewood and new clutch....paddle or uprated standard :?:...

Swoakes SS1 DET Sprint Car misfire

Yup fingers crossed old plugs were the issue :) They were new pre event Craig but maybe it was damaged already and I didn't notice or we cracked it on Sunday when we removed the plugs after the car cut out on track (earth feed to ignition relay broken) *cough* clumsy bugger, should've gone to Spec ...

Swoakes SS1 DET Sprint Car misfire

I'm hoping I found the source of the misfire which occurred at Ty Croes on Sunday. Discovered a plug with cracks in the ceramics. Don't think it cracked when I removed it because the inside of the cracks are dirty. Plugs changed, fuel pump changed, fuel filter changed. Tank drained (again) and refil...

Nick;If you run Kumho's from a handicap point of view (on your car) they will be classed as a B due to the age rule. I didn't know this until it was pointed out at some point last year.

An eBay seller to avoid!

Thanks guys. Yes, the main lesson is to buy from somewhere fairly local. Also, avoid obscure battery makes. I've bought a new Varta battery from the Battery Megastore as they're only 15 miles away. I'll pursue the eBay case as a matter of principle though. These dodgy sellers need to be made to fee...

Just wondered if anyone’s had chance to compare the shaved RS3 with 1b’s yet? I need to get some for the Coupe but can’t decide...
Steve Cork will be able to help Paul. Ran B's last year and shaved RS3's this year

I do hope that Brians GTE engine rebuild earlier this year was not on his race car, there is definitely smoke out of the exhausts in the rear picture.
Yes it was. Brian mentions this earler in this thread. He's hoping it's just the rings bedding in

I've not mentioned here that I had a mis fueling issue in Friday. I stupidly but V power of the Diesel variety in the DET tank.... :hand:  :hand: I nearly did that a little while ago, the labelling isn't very clear, and if you go in on autopilot looking for "V-Power" it's easy to come unstuck....
