"Mighty" SE6 - Rock and Roll!

Is there a 1-point lesson anywhere on using smilies in posts on the forum? Nothing I have tried works for me...

Front brakes should take no more than 90 mins on a modern on the floor
24 to 48 hours ?
How long for a cylinder head gasket change? I am just entering my 4th week! When I got there, I found it didn't need doing anyway. Should be running by Monday...

MOT exemption

Trevor, I can see that you are asking about the legal requirements, but don't you think it would be a good idea to have the car MOT'd after such a lay-up history? Although the test on my current 6a has expired, it has been in use (1500 miles in 15 months) and it 'feels' safe to drive, but I will be ...

Stolen cameras

My word skills have never been fantastic. The message I failed to get over is... Ffordes have a secure location just outside Inverness with a decent security system in place. They openly advertise their location and the value of their toys. Now that the year has moved on to longer nights, many of ou...

Stolen cameras

I am sorry to raise an issue not related to Reliants' finest. Many of you will use serious cameras to record your prized possessions. Like our treasured traders who keep us on the road, Ffordes (a specialist in supplying classic cameras) are highly valued by the photographic fraternity. I am sad to ...

Blyton Park 8/9 September 2018

Well done, again,Tom. Blyton is not an easy track for taking photos, unless you've got an orange jacket! keep working at it.
Nice talking to the team yesterday.

Jim, I had no idea the car was in such a poor state of repair when I sold it to your son. I am downloading some cash and will organise a full refund in the next couple of days. I can only say how lucky all of us were in driving the car in that condition and not having a serious fire. Again, I can't ...

SE6a Boot Lock

HI, I don't suppose anyone has a picture of their solenoid-actuated boot lock installation to make it that I don't have to re-invent the process?

Curborough Sprint 2018 Photos

Great pictures Tom. I wasn't able to make it to Curborough so your pics show me what I missed. You should have your own posting page so that you get the credit (not your dad). I hope you used a long telephoto lens to keep you out of harms' way. Well done, keep 'em coming...

Tail Lights.

Paul,

if you are sure you are not bothered about originality, but could cope with smooth, how about this treatment? I am not sure where I saw it (it could have been on the forum) but I believe it lives in New Zealand. It went straight to the top of my list.

Heaven and Hell

Very brave driving an unknown 6a so far without a temp gauge! I would have left the fan on permenantly. Did you really mean foolish, Jim? Yes I agree. The problem I felt was that with an 'iffy' battery and voltage showing just 12 volts, I didn't want to risk killing the battery by running it all th...

Heaven and Hell

Yes Paul, it is the very same. I missed it first time round on Gumtree and had just about given up hope of ever being able to afford one. I am confined to barracks today awaiting the couriers knocking down my front door, then I can recover my new toy. My next step is to download a copy of Peters' br...

Paul, Dave the previous owner was devasted about the problem, but I assured him that's part of owning a historic vehicle. Otherwise the car looks to have been well looked-after under his stewardship, I hope I can do as well as he did.
