The first picture looks like the striker plate just wants moving in a bit ...if you push the door shut does the catch click once or twice ?

That may be the case , i understand one of the reasons for the exemption of 40 year plus cars was that they will struggle to pass the tougher mot test...I'm sure someone will be along shortly to tell me i'm wrong 😊

Pre 1960 cars have been mot exempt for some time, no one i know with one has had any insurance company tell them they must get an mot ?

If your v5 says historic in the tax class.....get insurance go online to tax it (free) then a page will pop up tick one box to declare no mayor mods and thats it.You will now have one years free tax and mot exception.....no form filling or trips to the post office required

The 50 Amp ignition fuse appears to power all of your failed electrics , so check that one.
