Watching the progress to my old car with interest..................don't recognize too much now!..........but pleased to see my "Scimitar Drivers Club" key ring is still there :D

scammer

Aye, spotted him ( her? ) last night with the same two usual cars ( blue 6 and the GTC) Didn't realise the pizza oven was him too till I looked earlier. That one is a hack into a different ebay account.

Reported all of them so hopefully gets taken down before someone falls for it.

Alternative Coupé register ;-)

Reading through the list of coupes I notice that ...... Chassis 519, PNP 607E, Golden Sands, V6 is down as residing in Devon. ( it is the coupe that appears on the Top Gear programme with Tiff Needel) I sold the car, perhaps 15 years ago?, to a guy living in Norfolk. Last time I looked it up ( 3 yea...

Aluminium radiators

Fitted one from Radtec a couple of years ago for my Middlebridge. Fitting was uneventful. Cooling was improved . Repairs can be difficult. After a year it developed a slight leak but Radtec repaired it free of charge and paid for the courier. Speaking to a mechanic friend he said that they are not a...

40 years with 'The old girl'

Thanks for posting that Andy, especially the links to the Top Gear filming.

A great day with Tiff and well worth bringing 3 cars up from Devon for it.

Ebay scam again

He is on every 24 - 48 hours at present........this time has obviously hacked 2 peoples accounts so the cars are on both . I report the fraud when they re appear but ebay seem to be powerless to stop him long term. He puts on just under 2000 vehicles! Ebay just removed the one account so only one ha...

Steering Notchy on LH side

Had a replacement rack fitted last May (QRG) which lasted 50 miles. It then went notchy as you describe.

Good service from Nigel, and another replacement was sent quickly which has worked faultlessly since.

Le Jog 2019

Thanks for posting these Mike - I'm envious :) When will someone realise that a properly prepared SE5a would make a cracking, comfortable, reliable ride for an endurance event like this? I love it! Aye, went for even more comfort in 2005 when we did it in an Se6a. 3 years before that , did it in an...

Silverstone Classic 26-28 July 2019

Although at Silverstone with my Middlebridge, the display on the RSSOC stand was excellent with a good range of well turned out cars. Hopefully between the 2 stands we have managed to raise the profile and awareness of the Scimitar marque.

Middlebridge at Silverstone

20190726_142902.jpg Just wanted to say thanks to all those involved in the organisation of the 30th anniversary meet at the Silverstone Classic last weekend, especially Mick, Bruce, George, Will and Mark. To get just under a third of all the cars ever produced is quite an achievement 30 years on. I...

SE6a Burray Orkney

Whilst out today trying to get my Middlebridge ready for Silverstone at the end of the week, I was stopped by Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh with the bonnet up, when approached by a guy interested in the car. It turned out that he knew this Scimitar on Orkney as he lived there, and it has now been moved ...

G130 YCF my first sprint car

Good to see G130 YCF still being used. I owned it for some years before selling it to David in Hexham. Last I heard when I spoke to him some time ago,was that it was off the road due to turbo problems and so thought it may well have gone to the scrapyard in the sky. Good to see it coming to life aga...
