MOT exemption

The thing is if your car was registered June 1978 it wouldn't be one year old until June 1979 so it follows that it wouldn't be 40 years old until 2019.

Early and late diaphragms are available from the MGOC spares shop £14.75 for the early ones and £18.95 for the later ones. Apparently they went to the rubber webbing after 1972.

Removing engine and gearbox together

Phil has already answered this question Roger, but I wouldn't know the answer any way. I bought a high pressure pipe from them and still have it hanging in my garage. I had my original pipe repaired by a hydraulic specialist some time ago when it developed a pin hole and squirted fluid all over the ...

Revs seem to have dropped a bit, used to be 750 rpm which is what it should be. We could have a look at that when your down here next, and check the timing again.

"Mighty" SE6 - Rock and Roll!

It's not done any mileage since it's last filter and oil change and was flushed through with flushing oil before filling with fresh oil and new EFL90 filter, as a matter of fact it had two oil changes in very quick succession as I'd put a Fram filter on and thought that might be causing the problem,...

If it's the three rod gear box the linkage is just held on by a clip that lifts and slides back over each of the shafts on the gearbox side panel. If you tie them up out of the way you should be OK after that. If you break one of the clips they are off Land Rover gear box's. Regards Terry H 1185

I never had a problem driving it in the winter snow, just keep the rev's down to avoid wheel spin. If I can travel from Newport to Abertillery in snow every Friday in winter to take my mother shopping I'm sure you can get around Cwmbran with no problem. Will get the windscreen over the garage tomorr...

Scimitar Decals

you do realise that those transfers are the SS1 font?
If you look at the original box they came in Jim you can see them on a GTC so I don't think they were made specifically for the SS1.
