What has my garage done?

Hi Ken, sounds like the classic fuse box fingers and fuses open circuit or feed from the ignition? Clean 'em up and the fuse caps. The indicators could be the hazard switch! Switch it on and off several times as it's hardly ever used and goes open circuit. Best o' luck, Crusty.

Don't know if it will help or if you have access but another way of removing nuts is to drill down one side of the nut, parallel to the bolt, then chisel down the hole to split and widen it. Best o' luck, Crusty.

I've bin lookin' at yer recent pictures an' must comment on the pipe-bender. Very nice tool which suits your style o' drivin' perfectly, on the handle thingy O (original) R (radical) an' L (loopy)!😁 Yer drillin' skills are impressive, reminds me of a pal who had three kids with the same birthdays. Does Run Fast 351 Eventually!

Drilled the plate off and just had enough wriggle-room to get the glass out! I've been wondering how to correct the alignment of the drivers door, three corners are perfect but the bottom back one sticks out at least half an inch and that really annoys me. I'm thinking of amalgamating the inner skin...

Does Run Fast 351 Eventually!

Roight, change of plan for the engine. Took it off the chassis and found it wouldn't easily fit in the GTE so repaired the damage and left the Coupes on a stand. I've been stripping the drivers door and found I can't get the glass out. The window frame put up a fight but it's out, as is all the wind...

Yeh! It lives, engine all assembled with new piston and rings, slung back in, connected up and started. A stupendous air-lock caused a geyser on initial warm-up but was easily rectified. The carb needs tweaking otherwise everything seems alright. Time fer a brew😜

Well impressed with the quality and amount o' progress. Lifted my body off on millennium night, back on six weeks later. Still enjoy driving it, best wishes from an ex-Letchworth lad.

Emphasise that you're saving squillions by doing it yerself then spend some to get the part that arrives, is correct and fits, works and keeps the specialist suppliers alive. Best o' luck, Crusty.

Bleddy Nora, I went t' bed last night thinkin' I could smell summut. Thought at first it were Wallis an' Grommet ont' tele, now I know it were the ghost o' Marley, aka Michelotti, ditherin' o'er some design feature. If only 'e 'ad tried Wensleydale, SS1 might 'ave bin curvatious instead o' chunky.😜 ...

2.491 to 2.500 is mains. Hope the O/D of them is taken into account, Ford recovered blocks that would have been scrap by over-lineboring mains. Best o' luck, Crusty.
