Finished the pre-mot checks, rear light earths, other disc and pads, great service as usual from QRG for a pair of horns and pad fitting kit, ordered pm Wednesday and arrived Thursday morning. Front hub oddity

Those washers move the disc inwards towards the centre of the car. The spacers under the caliper lugs move the caliper the same way. Reliant used the spacers to centre the caliper over the disc so pads would fit correctly. They seem to be about 15 thou thick. Needless to say, to get the bolt through...

The tank top/boot underside acts like a giant noise amplifier so needs deadening before yer lose access.

Roger and Mikey, thanks for those comments, there's a mezzanine floor full width, 2.5mts wide fer storage above the workshop end which Mrs Pit Crew says will be the bedroom! When the lift is up, the runways will be on the same level so 'eavy stuff can be just carefully slid across. Terry, option one...

I wouldn't bother, from the meat left you can carefully clean up the existing thread with a die or die nut and fit new nuts. Granted, they look 'orrible but don't look at 'em until you've done the above.
