Oh tempting!

So a mate is getting rid of his MK2 Granada project..a 2.8 ghia x ...he also has a scorpio with decent 24v cosworth engine his plan was to put it in the grandad... You can see what I'm thinking...scorpio engine into the Scimitar get the mk2 working and sell on as a running project.. What do you guys...

1976 se6a rear hub

Hello me again just pulled the rear hub to replace wheel studs putting back together..school boy question hit me..what torque should rear hub nut be...or is it tight as possible then a bit more to line up split pin hole?..cheers for advice...shed

Way hay ! Shed just passed another MOT - the 5th in my ownership- flew through no advisories well chuffed another year of Scimitar motoring!

Its a bit louder -but not annoyingly so, try it you can always put them back in!

I used a bit of copper wire (thick strand taken from some heavy domestic earth wire) to slide down the pipe for about 12" then warm water mixed with wd40 a small funnel and a bit of PVC tape-used this to "back fill" the pipe from the rear ..left it "soaking" a while with the funnel full then another...

Cheers-all sorted now Been using the car everyday this week deliberately taking it out in the wet to test the newly working rear wiper (both speeds whoo hoo!) and wash wipe! ..the only slight annoyance is that I couldn't get the park switch to work ..but its driving well and I can see out the windsc...

My frame was fine -just had a call from the supplier with regards the diaphragm I sent back apparently I was told you had to modify the frame -I must have misheard-anyway the new diaphram only had hooks down two sides where as that one you used and my original had hooks on four sides..is the the mod...

on returning the diaphragm which didn't fit "oh you cant get originals these are better you have to modify them to fit.." ..would have been useful information prior to purchase! and from what I can see only one pair of "hooks" on the new diaphram line up with the holes in the frame ..so I assume the...

Replaced engine mount last night ...bit disappointed it only lasted 3yrs and about 10k miles.... where would people recommend for decent mounts?
