Which colour looks best?

If you change the colour completely eg green to blue you will have to send you reg doc away to be modified. Our Coupe is gold - a horrible yellow gold originally but I am going to do it platinum gold which is more silver than gold but I don't have to have the reg doc amended.

reverse sensors

Fitted them to my GTC when I had it, the Coupe and the MB - the GTC fit was easy as they fitted between the lower inner corners of the rear lights and the bumper, with the Coupe fitted them in the reflectors. You may be able to get them in the same place as I did with the GTC

Ford's SS1

Not the time of year to be working on a car outdoors - although it did not bother me when I was young(er). It looks like its all there and just needs putting back together - keep the pictures coming.

Brake servo which one

I thought that it was illegal to remove a servo when one was fitted originally - I might have misheard the law though.

Brake servo which one

If you have the Girling part number or someone can remember what else uses the same servo ( I cannot for the moment ) you can pick the one you need from this list.

In the original message the belt was to be changed - no mention of the pulley being changed

No none of the gears need to be removed - once you have slackened off the tensioner ( marked in red ) the belt just slides off.

fuel smell & pressure in the tank

There is a one way valve built into the centre of the fuel cap - to let air in not fumes out. My 6 and GTC built up pressure in the tank and hence the whoosh - this is normal don't worry about it. Some people have drilled a hole in the centre to let air in and out - I do not it was built with a one ...

Scimitar 1800ti cam belt

Why do you want to slacken the crank pulley bolt - changing the belt is fairly straight forward if you start with the marks in the right place. For future reference to slacken any crank bolt put a ring spanner on it and jam the spanner against the chassis - a QUICK flick of the starter and it will c...

inconsistant starting or consistant non starting!

I had thought about the ignition switch but the problem seems too regular for it to be the cause - hot wire via a switch so it can be switched in and out easily.
