5a parcel shelf

I got rid of mine because it moved around when the car was in motion and took the surface off the side panels. The best I have seen was a "roller blind" which was slotted in behind the rear seats and pulled out to the the rear hatch

Thermostat Housing Pressure Cap

I thought it was a 5 unit Mark with the pipe blanked but closer look shows no lower pipe - I wonder if its been removed and the hole filled.

Thermostat Housing Pressure Cap

ENGINE OIL

There are no regulatory controls on what percentage mix constitutes a semi, so price and performance variation will occur. Do not be mislead into thinking that the price difference on semi-synthetics is simply a marketing ploy, although it may well be.

Would you consider this in your Scimitar?

Perhaps it just needs greasing - jack it up and see how easy it is to turn the steering with no power. Surprising how many people think they are ok because the power steering disguises the stiffness.

My MOT man says if it fails the test then you have to fix it - I did ask when I heard about the new rules.UN-roadworthy is UN-roadworthy.

You forgot cables to them - what worries me more is if they are in the countryside what happens when they catch fire in the dry season - whenever that is.

Future MOT changes

Well Ronnie just look how much pollution there is making a new car - especially battery cars - lithium from S.America etc. In a USA test of the most polluting new cars ( admittedly a few years ago ) the Toyota Prius came high on the list whereas the Jeep Wrangler came way down. Simple to build - lon...

Future MOT changes

There are a lot more post 60s cars around though Roger - I think there will be substantially more MOT free cars on the road now. The insurance Cos should have no trouble with a MOT'd car given that is what they accept for cars over 3 years old now. As to Alan's shake plate worries - my MOT station c...

Headlight question?....

With the 6 the dip should go out and you should have four main beams - with the 5 it depends on the chassis number how the headlight work - there are three different ways.
