SE6a rear axle clicking sound; axle float?

Hi all, I'm Tim from Belgium and drive an SE6a from 1979. Since a couple of weeks I hear some clicking sound from the rear as like the exhaust hits something like the chassis or rear damper unit. When I pull the wheels sideways on my bridge, I can feel some play as like the halfshafts move in the re...

Engine, preserving for long term storage?

Good day, all!

I recently heard that thick 20W50 oil isn't getting enough to the piston rings and it's better to pour some 2-stroke oil on top of the cylinders. Anyone heard of that before?

Cheers, Tim.

Air/fuel ratio; lambda wide or small range?

Perhaps a too simple way of thinking but is a narrowband lambda to be recognized by a single wire and a wideband by 3 or 4 wires?

Air/fuel ratio; lambda wide or small range?

Thanks for your input, all!
I'm in the same situation as willholderogri; it's only for reading if the mixture is fine and not for controlling the LPG-system.

Thanks, Tim.

SE6A: Front suspension arm suddenly snapped

Hi all!
I now know the front lower arms aren't interchangeable! The bushing opening heartlines are not in line with the arm's heartlines. (Pretty unsure if this can be understood … )
Cheers, Tim.

Air/fuel ratio; lambda wide or small range?

Hi all! My Scimitar GTE '79 runs on LPG. To set the correct mixture I'll need to install a lambda sensor to command a ratio-gauge. I see Narrowband sensors as well as wideband sensors; Which one do I use best? Are all wide bands (or small bands) universal? Could I just screw one from an existing car...

SE6A: Front suspension arm suddenly snapped

Can anyone tell if the left and right lower front suspension arms are the same? It would save me a lot of time of I could use a left one on the right side.
Thanks, Tim.

SE6A: Front suspension arm suddenly snapped

Hi all! 3 days ago, while breaking rather gently, I heard a short strange noise. I thought it was my coil that had broken but it seemed to be the lower front suspension arm on the right hand suspension that had snapped … It just broke in the middle! I think it must be metal fatigue (This is how it's...

2 sizes of axles? Hmmm … Can you tell more about it?
Can the stub axle be removed?

Thanks, Tim.

Triumph GT6-bushkit on my Scimitar GTE SE6A?

Hi all! I was wondering wheather this GT6-kit would fit my Scimitar SE6A? It's a lot cheaper than the kits sold especially for the Scimitar GTE, isn't it? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-GT6-Front-Chassis-Suspension-Bushes-in-Poly/372062336235?epid=2202155761&hash=item56a0a4b4eb:g:YL4AAOSwVzRbabs...

Wheel bearing gliding on the front axle?

Hi all! I recently heard some strange noises from the left front of my Scimitar GTE suspension. Thought these might be noises from the suspension working but it seemed to be the outer wheel bearing; this had been gliding (rolling?) over the axle and damaging the axle. The bearing could very easily b...
