Curborough Test Days 16/17th Aug 2019

Shaaddduuup Craig.
It were greasy out. I didn't want to say it was raining but it was, a bit. Not as much as the afternoon. Three morning crew certainly got the better deal!

Curborough Test Days 16/17th Aug 2019

Well, we had 3 SS1s and drivers on rotation this morning. Me in the lowly 1300 with 80bhp Max in the "A HOT N" turbo 1600 with 155bhp? Darryl in the flying banana 1800ti with 212bhp? Track conditions, light rain, a bit moist, patchy at times. Friday AM 2019 time sheet.JPG Good fun had by all I think...

Roll bar is sold several times over I think. Have agreed to swap it for a standard one with an acquaintance, but should he change his mind I shall go back through the order of people to offer it. Still have column bushes available, The bottom plates of the steelwork have rotted out (before or after ...

All paid up and have passed the elusive RSSOC bank details on to a few others too so hopefully not too many yet to pay their dues!

What time are we expecting to get going tomorrow?

MK2 Sabre Breaking for parts

Armrest / centre cubby came up nicely enough actually. No damage to it, though it might have been charred around the gear stick hole (heat / flames clearly made it through the tunnel and toasted the gaitor!) Will need sanding back and re-painting and the lid either recovering or gluing back down. Wo...

Seats need to be cleaned up and evaluated. I was expecting them to be ruined but I think they may be saveable. I may however be keeping them for my own car.

Boot seal different but I can dig you out an SS1 one.
Exhaust is a bit of an oddity. It's a powerflow custom built one from cat back and has had the fart can chopped off and replaced with a bigger silencer since I first owned the car.

MK2 Sabre Breaking for parts

Yes although it will need restoration. Fire damage has affected some of the interior (mainly limited to dash components) and then weathering from time spent out in the open hasn't helped either. Let me double check it and come back to you.

MK2 Sabre Breaking for parts

Landed myself in deep water with Mrs RR by taking delivery of a part burnt out Sabre MK2 today. Need to break it up and move on as much of it as I can ASAP. Only thing I really want is the chassis for mock up. Most things available although there's no engine / gearbox and nothing forward of the A pi...

Rear shock absorbers

Chevette rack has sealed non adjustable / rebuild able joints. Closest relation is TVR S series rack.

Anyway. They are proven to fit. However you may not need them if your nylon ones are not cracked. Usually a little adjustment is all that's needed.

Firstly. Do it. Then just in response to Phil's comment. Never had an issue with my glass sunroof. Been asked to tape over it at one event only and no mention at the other dozen or so venues I've attended. Be aware that any seat belts you put in must conform to blue book regulations for mounting spe...
