I fitted MGB GT seats to Barbaras SS1 and as Manny says you just need to "modify " them with an angle grinder. I adapted them to fit the existing runners so if she wants to swap back in the future there is minimal work to be done.
Yes I still have the spring clips in place. I can easily adapt them to take a stud and wing nut. Never thought about toe-rags getting into the boot via the back seat. Makes you wonder how they knew about it.

I used Don Hood for both the GTC and the SS1. Quality is good compared to some hoods Ive seen . I fitted them myself, but you need a warm day in summer for ease of stretching them or some form of heating in a garage. Its a job you need to do when you are in the mood and just take your time.
