68 Coupe/87 SS1 1800Ti

Probably not related, Out first TI had a problem starting after washing once. Turned out, hosing down the wing, nearside by intake, put water into the air filter, once dried out, started fine.

Like I said, doubt it is relevant but you just never know.

No interest in these? I will give it a week and put them on the pavement for the scrap man to collect.

I believe the core will need repair/replacement but the shell is in reasonable condition. I want nothing for the parts, but as they are bulky, anyone who wants them ...

Going back to oil filter, For many years I tried EVERYTHING, then one day I did something different by accident. I loosened the filter before getting the engine warm, it was then easy. Don't know if this is what you were told, try it.

Which Oil filter for SSI 1800TI??

I struggled with the 1800TI and Sabre. Then I found the way. I always loosened the filter by hand when stone cold, then soon as I had Cracked the seal, warm the engine up on a run so oil most fluid then it twisted off easily by hand. Starting when engine warm was a real knuckle killer!!
