Ben's SS1 - SSF novice sprint car

There are db apps on phones which are pretty accurate against the wand type they use at tracks. Some are free. You might just need to compare them so you get to know the best orientation for your phone.

Essex on LPG and Throttle Bodies - higher compression

We used these on my latest build: http://www.burtonpower.com/accralite-forged-piston-ford-v6-essex-3-0-95-3mm-11-0-1-fv101-95-3.html The Accralite design is based on the old Powermax piston and they have taken the design from the original Powermax drawings. We expected to have to machine them to bri...

(There used to be a different website for Performance Leads but it just directs to the Fast Lane site now.)

Over revving new build Essex

Loads of articles available explaining the critical need to make sure cam is properly conditioned on first start-up. Hopefully you picked a middle point in the variety of suggestions. http://www.hotrod.com/articles/ccrp-1108-camshaft-break-in-guide/ http://www.onallcylinders.com/2014/11/13/engine-br...

Over revving new build Essex

If the cam is new I think it'll need a few mins at highish revs straight away anyway. Hopefully you had some grease on the journals and cranked the engine to circulate oil before starting it?

RB25DET skyline engined GTE sprint car

1UZ-FE is a fantastic engine in terms of design and build quality. Most come out of a Lexus barge and have been run in at a max 3500 rpm for hundreds of thousands of miles. Mating a suitable gearbox can be the most expensive bit and pfaffing getting the clutch perfect so it doesn't drag, but close t...

Non voodoo BBC Vinyl Hood treatment

It might be the light reflecting in a similar way as it does off the rest of the car I suppose, but it does seem to make the car look more as one.

Non voodoo BBC Vinyl Hood treatment

I use Optimum No Rinse to clean cars as it's very easy using a spray bottle and microfibres. I use it in the same way on the vinyl roof as it appears to lift the dirt out of the texture on the vinyl. Might need to wash it a few times to get it really clean as the dirt does stick to the vinyl. Once I...

Some vtec motors rotate the opposite way to the 'norm ' so might be an issue.
So 5 reverse and 1 forward? Josh would probably still win given the autotest evidence.

Racing Coupe

I'd suggest going to have a look at it if you haven't already. Not sure it's MOTable or driveable on the road but you should go and try it as best you can. I agree with others on here that it would most likely be difficult to live with on the road. It's built as a sprint/hill climb car so might need...
