Ah, I had (of course) forgotten the complicated history of GBG !

I would have thought something as important as a Coupé GTE would leave some photographic evidence, but I have nothing.
Cue Dave Poole
Which coupe GTE?? Certainly not CBG

I've just noticed that the poor derelict FNJ has some strange bodywork modifications -
Look at the right-hand indicator and the blanked-off grille
It had a new front end fitted, so perhaps not cut out yet??

Well the DVD arrived today. I've watched the 1963 Monte Carlo rally and it features 6 EUE and 7 EUE. I'm sure it was 7 EUE coming down the hill as it looked as if it was number 172 on the door as far as I could tell. I look forward to seieng the rest of the DVD and watch the 1965 Monte Carlo to see ...

Good afternoon Philip and Dave Thanks for this post, on Philip's promise  , you will see (what I think is) 42 ENX coming down the hill, I have just ordered a copy of the DVD. I hope I am not disappointed by it being the wrong car  Philip have you seen or got these of your car back in 1...

Hi Dave, The Missus was out this morning, so I had a chance to watch the 1960 and the 1963 Montes' on the DVD, and about 10 minutes from the end of the '63 you will see (what I think is) 42 ENX coming down the hill, no comment from Raymond Baxter, though. Perhaps he preferred to not talk about Reli...

For my birthday, as well as the Ladybird book (what didn't come in the post :) ) I received the "Best of '60's Monte Carlo Rallies" DVD which features the "catastrophic" 1965 Monte. IIRC 237 entries, 35 finishers; 2 min 15 secs in, you can see 660XYB (entry 99) disembarking from the ferry, and at 1...

BPB 995H

I don't know it, but it would be great to add a picture of it for my Scimitar database if you have any of it. I have pictures of BPB 991H and BPB 992H 8)

Possible scammer selling Scimitars on eBay

Hi All, This look a bit suspicious if you ask me. The same seller is selling over a 2000 other cars in his listings and there seems to be different emails to confirm purchase price??? Beware! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Reliant-Scimitar-GTC/274254131582?hash=item3fdad1f17e:g:VPYAAOSwAepePZU6 https://...

A couple of snippets from Slice Dave Speed's Coupé with 3.1 Essex is advertised for sale (by Chris Fairclough in Oxfordshire?) at 7950 sterling. At this price I'm surprised it has not yet found a taker ... Wim Deinum's very interesting article confirms many details on the left-hand drive cars of Ho...

Here's a list of Scimitar GT magazine articles I have so far Dave are there any colour pictures of AUE38B in its early days , just wondered if it was always brown ? Not the best colour for a prototype car that you want to show off. Hi, Sadly I don't have any colour photos of AUE 38B from the early ...

Who was Adrian Ball? I'm not certain of his official title, but I think he was effectively Reliant's publicity man / graphic designer for much of the key period. Many of the brochures, Owners' handbooks, etc., say something like "Designed by Adrian Ball & Associates" on them. Yes, Roger is correct,...
