660XYB Engine fix

In my collection, the ford gearbox has a roller bearing and the ZF box has a bronze bush. Try this company for a new bearing budget bearings or quality bearings you choose,

1974 Dealers list

Seeing the advert for Alexandre Motors reminded me of a bit of my memorabilia a calendar from 1964. Alexandre Motors was owned by Leslie Griffiths and son Axex Griffiths who with works backing rallied 42 ENX in 1963 and 1964. Alex then entered Sabre 6, 660 XYB as a private entry into the 1965 Monte ...

New Scimitar Book Published today!

Received my copy a couple of days ago after waiting couple of weeks despite it being quoted as in stock £15.87 free delivery from the Book Depository via Amazon. I am a bit disappointed, I supplied Elvis with a few photos and information on the car (42 ENX) but it has been credited as a Sabre 6 in t...

Sabre/Sabra Weekend August 2018

Hi Chris Still prepping 42 ENX, going the euro tunnel route, yours sounds much nicer, should have put a bit more thought into it  Got to load the luggage all has to be in smallish soft bags so it can be squeezed in, it also act as sound deadening! See you tomorrow evening at the hotel with the...

Historic GB plate help wanted

Hi can anyone advise where I could obtain, a replica or preferably, an original GB plate, exactly as per the attached photo (1963 RAC). I need to put one on the car to go over the channel and it would be nice to fit a period item to the car.
Thanks John

Sabre and Scimitar early 80's

Thanks for the photos Roger, I have not seen them before, that was a lot younger me driving! Do you remember what the event was (I cant) as there is no number on the car so presumably it was not a sprint event, also a rare occasion its not raining!! Hope to have AKK on the road again this year(I hav...

Sabre Six exhaust system

Those Sabre 4 pictures are good. And can we assume the car was taxed for 12 months, expiring in 1964, so a 1963 modification? As you say, what racing history can be established? I don't know where to look, but I'd guess the archivist side of Dave would know. Philip N I have found some information o...

Hi All not sure if this will help on you quest to establish tubular manifolds date usage, here are two photos of Argyle Motors racing Sabre 4's using 4cyl Mays Head with tubular manifolds.
