Scottish Pre 67 Ford Day - 1 September 2019

My first car show with the Ti. Nice meeting some of the Scottish club contingent. Just the five of us: 2 SE6A’s, a 6B, Mark’s stunning Middlebridge and the Ti. (Hopefully the photos are the right way up.) 427A9A89-2C6D-4715-960E-F2965A958204.jpeg 0B3364D9-9EA1-4E26-8E95-AC6D7668FE92.jpeg 9EDAF458-F8...

What cars did you see today? (Non-Scimitar)

Lovely Lancia! I remember there was one of those rusting away in a yard somewhere in Dundee many, many years ago. Same colour as that as well. And in the same neck of the woods (kind of) I got a wave from the driver of a white Bond Equipe GT4S on the outskirts of Dundee (just outside Invergowrie) ye...

I was surprised how easily it sheared, I wasn't using a big spanner.
Likewise, only a small spanner. Just couldn't cope with my incessant dizzy adjustments and removals.

Glad you got it sorted.

Is it a damped/bonded pulley? I’m pretty sure the DET ones are so it should follow the ET ones are as well. For info, mine is as shown here, with separate damper and pulley. (Earlier engine perhaps? It uses the v-shaped alternator belt). The pulley itself can be bolted on any old way (well, up to 6...

and shearing off the distributor bolt that fixes it to the head
Yep, I did that too last year. Think I also sheared the other adjustment bolt at one point. Only so much they can take I suppose. :)

Do you know what fixed it?

Stirling and District Classic Car Show 2019

Looks like it's on the road now. Yes Terry, I did find a photo of it a few years back - an online Miura register, if I remember correctly. It was converted to the later, more desirable SV guise. I actually got to know the owner in the eighties. A real Lamborghini nut, but one without the resources ...

Stirling and District Classic Car Show 2019

Looks like a great day. I’d have liked to have come along to this show but timing wasn’t good. Is the club planning on attending any other Scottish shows this year? As an aside, I used to visit Bridge of Allan fairly regularly in the late seventies/early eighties when my grandad lived there. And aro...

Easy seeing there’s a Bentley Driver’s Club event up North somewhere this weekend. Saw about 5 beauties this morning on the Kingsway in Dundee. Only managed to photo two.

pop-up headlights NOW INCLUDING HIDDEN HEADLIGHTS

Your guess is as good as mine as to what these headlights do. But it's a rare beast - and one I remember seeing at the Glasgow motor show at the Kelvin Hall about 40 years ago. argyll-car.jpg https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/47PgZXqnbJN0HCyssW49p4v/the-argyll-turbo-a-classic-supercar-from-t...
